For decades, Globe Poster created iconic concert posters for a who’s who of African-American music: from Muddy Waters and James Brown to Aretha Franklin and Tupac Shakur. The family-run letterpress company closed its doors in 2010 but has thrived since partnering with a Baltimore arts college. See It Loud! documents Globe’s impressive legacy and inspiring resurrection and includes interviews with filmmaker John Waters, acclaimed bluesman Bobby Rush, soul legends Chuck Brown and Solomon Burke, Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne, and Globe's owners, the Ciceros. This inspiring film by Rei Perri and DPL's John Lewis illustrates how something old can become new again with an infusion of fresh energy and ideas. See It Loud premiered as a "work in progress" at the 2025 New/Next Film Festival! The screening sold-out, and the audience response was incredible. There will be more to come 2026!
